Now, I am presenting to you Jessie's mother, Charlene Vanessa Andrews!

NAME-Charlene Vanessa Andrews

AGE-Mid to late 30's

FROM-Clear Lake City, Tx

OCCUPATION-Housewife, former ballerina, former gymnast, current owner/instructor at gym she owns.

POWERS AND ABILITIES-Hand to hand skills, ability to use exercise equipment as weapons, flexibility and athletic body due to years of exercise and fitness.

BIO-The reason why Jessie looks built and muscular than normal children is all thanks to her mother, after all, physical fitness is in the Andrews bloodline along with science and intelligence.

Charlene Andrews (maiden name: Charlene Jordan) was born in Dona, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley. At age 7, she wanted to be a ballerina. So a year later, she joined a ballet class and trained. Her parents later moved to Kingsville, where she continued her ballet training up until she graduated. Having tired of being in a competitive environment, the family decided to move elsewhere.

They moved to Clear Lake City, where she joined the Royal Academy of Fine Arts to attend school at age 13. She was the star of the class and enjoyed being a ballerina, until she broke her own ankle after a landing. The injury was so bad, she had to leave the school, and continued her education from home until she healed. At age 14 in order to help her regain her flexibility, she signed up for gymnastics. The exercises and routines helped Charlene with her therapy on her leg, and she won many titles and championships, both local and state.

After graduating from high school, Charlene moved out of her parents' house to attend Texas A&M to study in her dream profession-owning a heath and fitness center. She studied exercise physiology, personal training, and being in the gymnastics team at Texas A&M, as well as majoring in her business degree. Whenever she's not studying or training, Charlene hits the gym to build her body, as well as training herself in cardio kickboxing for health and self-defense. She had to learn self-defense due to crimes going on in the campus. She even defended herself by beating up a rapist who tried to mug and rape her, then Charlene took the beaten rapist to jail in a citizen's arrest!

While she was studying and training, she met a young man during a trip to lunch. That man was Patrick Malcolm Andrews, a student who was studying astronomy and other studies related to his dream of working for NASA. It was love at first sight, as Patrick was a victim of bullying by the more stronger students. With Charlene's help, he stood up to the bullies by attacking one of them, and the others were scared of Patrick. After graduation, Patrick proposed to Charlene, asking her to marry him. Charlene said yes, and they moved back to Clear Lake City to have their wedding in Houston.

After getting married in Houston, Charlene decided to open up her dream workplace-her own health and fitness center. While Charlene was having success with her own gym, Patrick worked on odd jobs before finally landing his dream job at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Mission Control. However as they are succeeding in their own dream jobs, Charlene was pregnant with their first child.

Nine months passed, Charlene went into labor around this time. Patrick went to his wife's side to witness the birth of a beautiful, healthy baby girl. With her father's green eyes and her mother's brown hair, Patrick decided to name their newborn child after his great grandmother, "Jessica." Charlene decided on the middle name for her child, "Josephine", after her mother. The name has been finalized for the child-Jessica Josephine Andrews, whom they decided to call their child for short, "Jessie."

The couple enjoyed having their young baby grow up to be a healthy little girl, as Jessie showed the couple her interest in being a gymnast at age 6, so the couple decided to enroll her in gymnastics classes. This triggered happy memories for Charlene, as she imagined Jessie being on the same path that she went as a child. As Jessie grew older, she was not only interested in gymnastics, but she wanted to work at NASA one day too. With two dreams, Charlene was proud of her daughter following in her parents' footsteps.

However, she does not know about her daughter's other activity-being a Intergalactic Patroller, a co-founder of a team of superheroines, and a member of Texas' own superhero legion. Charlene would never find out until one day, she saw whip marks on Jessie's back during a trip to a waterpark. She was shocked to hear that Jessie is a Patroller, and the whip marks were caused by whipping by her commanding officer, Gen. Maria Wilson. Angered, she used Jessie's teleporter to travel to The Earth Sector's meteor base and confronted the general herself.

She challenged her to a fight at Gen. Wilson's private fitness and gymnastics room, and the two battled it out over Jessie. However, the fight ended when Jessie stopped the brawl when it turns out that Patrick was the NASA consultant for the Earth sector.

It turns out that Gen. Wilson is also a mother, as she has her 3rd child as a Patroller. In fact, The Rogers family called the Andrews later that day to tell them about how Jessie and her long-distance friend, Casey Quickster, shared their identities. The three families formed a tight bond with one another, with both Jessie and Casey in their hero roles and kept their secrets safe.

Charlene joins Jessie in workout sessions and tips on maintaining her flexibility and gymnastic training. Charlene teaches cardio kickboxing and aerobics while running the fitness center, whom she has about 110 employees, and it is the most successful independently owned health club. She is even not afraid of people trying to rob her, she just uses her exercise equipment as weaponry to fend off criminals, or just let Jessie rough them up.

Charlene is a healthy woman for her age, as due to her athletic background in her past. She is also adaptable to hand-to-hand combat skills, as well as being creative when it comes to using exercise equipment as weapons. Her personality is a kind, nurturing parent, but she is very disciplinary. Even at times, she is worried about the safety and life of Jessie, due to the fact that while she is a superhero, she has no superhuman powers.

I always wanted to draw Jessie's parents for a while, so Charlene is the first of two drawings to show the parents. Both came out good, despite mistakes. I need to work on heights more, as well as adult bodies.
